The Manufacturing Technician operates production equipment, is responsible for manufacturing and assembly of locally produced products (degaussers and destruction devices). Follows blueprints, guidelines and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met. Maintains required records of production and reports any inconsistencies or equipment issues following standard procedures.


Essential Functions

  • Assembly
    • Follow detailed schematics for assembly of degaussers and destruction devices
    • Mechanical and Electromechanical subassembly
    • Final assembly of products
  • Quality Assurance
    • Cross inspection of production
    • Calibrate and maintain assemblies for proper function
    • Troubleshoot and repair products
    • Final product testing
  • Receiving, Packaging, Shipping
    • Inspect incoming parts and materials
    • Material routing
    • Product packaging
    • Product shipping
    • Complete training and perform daily checklists for equipment used on site (ie. Forklift, manual and electric pallet jacks, hoists, lift tables, etc.)
  • Workplace Safety
    • Follow all safety procedures and policies
  • Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager



  • Detail oriented
  • Able to work within established systems, standards and procedures
  • Able to work with minimal supervision in a stable and repetitive environment


Physical Demands

  • Ability to
    • Lift at least 75lbs
    • Carry up to 33lbs. for a distance up to 10 feet
    • Push/pull up to 200lbs
    • Grip tools with a force up to 30lbs


Required Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent
  • 0-2 years experience in a production setting
  • Knowledge of hand tools and fasteners


Preferred Education and Experience

  • An associate's degree in a comparable field
  • 1-3 years experience in a production setting



Must be available 8 a.m. 5 p.m., Monday Friday
